Start gently
Handle silk with clean hands and avoid rough surfaces that may catch delicate fibres. When a piece needs refreshing, use cool water and a mild product suitable for the final fabric specification.
Keep heat low
High heat may affect silk’s appearance and feel. Avoid direct heat unless the care label supplied with the product specifically allows it.
Dry with patience
Do not wring or twist wet silk. Instead, support the fabric, remove excess moisture gently with a clean towel and allow it to dry away from strong direct sunlight.
Store thoughtfully
Keep clean, fully dry silk in a calm space away from sharp accessories and strongly coloured items that may transfer dye.
