Silk rewards gentle care. The most important rule is to follow the instructions supplied with the finished product, because construction, trim and finish can change what is appropriate.
Handle with clean hands
Keep silk away from rough surfaces, sharp jewellery and fastenings that may catch the fabric.
Refresh gently
When the individual care label allows washing, use cool water and a mild product suitable for the final material. Avoid aggressive rubbing, long soaking, twisting or wringing.
Dry with patience
Support wet silk, remove excess moisture gently with a clean towel and allow it to dry away from strong direct sunlight.
