A lot of “silk” online is polyester satin. It can look shiny in a photo and still snag hair like plastic. HZLISY sells 100% mulberry silk at a stated momme. Here is how to read a listing — including ours — without relying on the word “silk” alone.
What the fibre line should say
Look for 100% mulberry silk (sometimes Bombyx mori). Phrases such as silk-feel, silk-like, satin, charmeuse blend, or “silky polyester” are not mulberry silk. Burn tests and “it feels cool” videos are not proof you can use at customs.
Momme and 6A are not certificates
Momme is cloth weight. 6A is a mill grade we print on sleep pieces because that is how the mill specifies the filament. Neither one is OEKO-TEX, GOTS, or a third-party lab report. We do not currently publish an OEKO-TEX file on this site. If you need a test document for a marketplace or an import entry, email info@hzlisy.com before you pay.
What you can check on arrival
- The cloth should drape, not sit like plastic film.
- A scrunchie should slide over hair instead of gripping like a cotton elastic.
- Care: cool water, no wringing. High heat and bleach damage real silk quickly.
